The blues , AKA ,Chelsea files out this afternoon at the Financial Field Stadium in Philadelphia for their last group games at the on going FIFA Club World Cup ,in a make or break match against one of African representatives , Esperance of Tunis , Tunisia .
The blues are second in group D and with 3 points behind Flamengo who have already qualified with their previous two group games when they over came Esperance and Chelsea but the blues are level points with Esperance .

Esperance opened their campaign in tubs competiion with a loss to Flamengo ,2-0 but were able to over come LAFC in the second group game .with 1-0 .
They are on level on pints with Chelsea in group D but will need to bear Chelsea to advance to the round of 16 ,a a draw will not be enough for them as the Blues have a superior goal margin against them .
The Tunisian side qualified for this campaign based on CAF unique co-efficient ranking for teams last four years performance and this makes it their fourth campaign , having previously competed in 2011, 2018 and 2019 respectively .
They have only lost once since April and that was against the Brazilians , Flamengo 2-0 , in this current campaign. and they are full of confidence as they file out against the blues this afternoon at Philadelphia .

Earlier ,Chelsea won their opening match against Los Angeles FC ,2-0 but lost their second game against Flamengo ,1-3, despite leading by a lone goal but the Brazilians turned the game against them and coupled with a disappointing red card against Nicolas Jackson in the second half that reduced the Blues to 10 men .
Hence ,the Enzo Maresca men need a lot of work to do to beat the Tunisian side who are level on points with them in Group D but only their superior goal margin can save the day for them if they play a draw today .
But a defeat will be an images good bye for the Londoners and this will lead to some very serious questions if they fail to advance to the round of 16 .
To qualify for this World Club Cup new format , the blues won the 2020/2021 champions league and this is their third appearance in this competition , having participated in 2012 and 2021 which they won the last one .

Experance of Tunis are likely to maintain the squad that over came the Los Angeles FC team , just to keep the status quo ante ,
Veteran Youcef ,the 33 year old will lead the attack together with Rodrigo Rodriguez complementing him .
Wide area specialist for Tunis , Elias Mokwana will be available too to do the damage if Chelsea fail to put their back line in check for him , together with defensive stalwart , Yassine Meriah who will man the rear guard for the North Africans .

Already on red card Nicolas Jackson will not be available in today’s match , a big minus for the team , though his excesses should be checked in subsequent matches
Like their opponents ES Tunis , they will maintain the squad that lost to Flamengo , with the huge presence of new signing Liam Delap whose assit gave the blues the second goal against LAFC in March Day One , where he gave a good account of his stewardship .
A possible change at the right back will being Recce James into the mid field while paving way for Noni Madueke to come into the first eleven (X1) in today’s match .

Predictions –
A real tough match for both sides , and with the good quality of the Tunisian team .but when there is a will , there nust be a way out , as Chelsea can easily buy with caution navigate their victory over the North African team and qualify for the round of 16.

Esperance of Tunis 1- 3 Chelsea , 1-2 Or 1-1 .
